Kidney failure and hours of dialysis each week were taking a physical and emotional toll. He turned to the Kidney Transplant Program at Harper University Hospital and now he says he feels reborn

For a man who loves golf and travel, kidney dialysis three times a week didn’t fit into the picture.

“I made up my mind that this is not what I want out of life,” said Cleveland, a 58-year-old from Southfield. “Dialysis three days a week for three or four hours each time – it works on your mind. A lot of people just give up from the strain. I knew I had to do something.”
