Julian E. Losanoff, M.D., Surgeon

Dr. Julian E. Losanoff is based at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center of Detroit.  Dr. Losanoff recently completed a clinical fellowship in abdominal transplantation at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, and completed a general surgery residency at the Military Medical Academy, Sofia, Bulgaria. Dr. Losanoff also has a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Management from the University of Economy, Sofia, Bulgaria, and did a clinical fellowship in medical organizations at the Tokushukai Medical Corporation in Japan.

He also completed a one-year clinical SICU/Burn fellowship at the University of Missouri-Columbia Department of Surgery. Dr. Losanoff is a seasoned clinical researcher whose experience will enhance the transplant center’s academic mission. He is fluent in English, German, Russian and Bulgarian languages.
