Dr. Lis-Planells specializes in General Neurosurgery, with special emphasis in the management of chronic pain, spine disorders and surgery of peripheral nerves. Dr. Lis-Planells has done extensive research in the neurosurgical management of pain and has clinical expertise in stereotaxis, radiosurgery and management of movement disorders. He was awarded his medical degree from the University of Our Lady of the Rosary in Bogota, Colombia and later served several fellowships in Neurosurgery at University California - Irvine and Wayne State Universities.
